Itinerary

Day 1Athens

Arrival at Athens airport, the cradle of wisdom and philosophy, meet and assist at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2Agios Georgios & Agios Isidoros & Mars Hill Syntagma square and Parliament Building

Breakfast at the hotel, heading to Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in the center of Athens, using the cable car to enjoy the gorgeous scenery from the height of 300 m and spend some time in the cafes, restaurants up there and visit the ancient church of Agios Georgios (St. George) and the chapel of Agios Isidoros on the other side of the hill. We will enjoy the theatre that hosts most famous performers, enough to 3000 spectators.

Drive to Mars Hill rising 377 feet above the land, where Apostle Paul gave his first sermon to the Athenians.

Overnight in Syntagma to see the guard changing in front of the parliament building

Day 3Annunciation Cathedral & St. Dionysius & Holy Apostles & Stoa Attalos & Tower of the Wind- Panathenaic Stadium

Breakfast at the hotel then our tour starts with the land mark of Athens, Metropolitan Cathedral of Annunciation of St. Mary, built in 1842 to visit the tombs of St. Philothei and St. George V and the attached little church of St. Eleftherios called “little Mitropoli”.

Visit Cathedral Basilica of St. Dionysius the Areopagite built in 1890 where the pillars represent in life-size four Evangelists. The church was the venue of the catholic marriage of Princess Sophia of Greece and Denmark and a member of Spanish Royal family in 1962.

Heading to church of Holy Apostles built in the 10th century. Visit Stoa Attalos built by American and Greek archaeologists to stimulate the original relics in 1956. The Stoa witnessed the ceremony of 10 countries signing to join he European Union in 2003.

Visit Tower of the Wind, the world’s first meteorological station “timepiece” a unique combination of sundials, wind vane, and water clock built in the 2nd century BC.

Visit Panathenaic Stadium, built in 330 BC to honor goddess Athena which hosts the opening and the closing ceremonies of the first Olympics in 1896 and hosted the 2004 Olympics and its flame.

Day 4Theatre of Epidaurus - Caves of Diros

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to the Theatre of Epidaurus built in the 4th century BC with the capacity of 13.000 to 14.000 spectators in 55 rows of seats. The site was built of marble and is considered a perfect acoustic system as you can hear even the whispers from any part. The theater was built to worship Asclepius, the god of medicine . A vast healing center is affiliated to the theater where the god made miracles and are written on the walls of the temple.

Visit the gift of nature to Greece; Caves of Diros means “the Fox’s Hole”as it looks like the place where fox lives and found in the 4thmillennium 6000 and 3200 BC for the Greek god of death“Hades”

Overnight at Monastiraki square then transfer to the hotel

Day 5Corinthes Canal & Patapios of Thebes Cava Monastery & Monastery of St. John the Baptist & The Cathedral of Corinth

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to Corinthes starting with Patapios of Thebes to visit the cave where they found the skull of the Saint in 4th century AD. The nun monastery is on a 650m hill and many miracles happened and are still happening. Visiting Monastery of St. John the Baptist found in 1960 on a hill overlooking the Corinthes Gulf. Visit The Cathedral of Corinthes (Apostle Paul Church) built in 1943 in the port where Apostle Paul started out on his journey to Syria; the church assembles Aga Sofia in Turkey.

Visiting Corinth Canal, completed in 1893 and connects the Gulf of Corinth and the Gulf of Saronic. The canal is 6.4 km length and 21.4 m wide.

We will enjoy the 4 bridges and the submersible bridge at the entrance that goes down to let the towed boats pass.

Day 6Panathenaic Stadium - St. Panteleimon of Acharnai - Church of Holy Trinity

Breakfast at the hotel then heading to Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble in 30 BC for religious and athletic festivals in honour of goddess Athena with capacity of 50.000 seats. The stadium was the Olympic venue in 2004 and the Olympic flame handover ceremony. Visit St. Panteleimon of Acharnai, the biggest church in Greece and in Balkans and the first edifice built with concrete, built in 1910 by King George 1 with a painting of 6000㎡surface that took 23 years to be completed. Heading to the church of Holy Trinity built in the 6th century to see the portrait of weeping Virgin Mary.

Day 7Holy Land

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport to the Holy Land where Jesus lived, crucified, and risen.

Day 8Arrival in Tel Aviv

Meet and assist at Ben Gurion airport and proceed to Nazareth: for hotel check in hotel in Nazareth and dinner.

Day 9Nazareth

After Breakfast in the hotel we will visit the church of annunciation, followed by a visit to Joseph’s workshop where Jesus spent most of his childhood, then visit Mt tabor ascends by Taxi to visit the church of Transfiguration. We will visit St. Mary’s well Back to the hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10Tiberias (Sea of Galilee)

After Breakfast, we drive to the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the ‘Sermon on the Mount’ and Tabgha, the traditional site of the ‘miracle of the loaves and the fish’ church of Multiplication. Capernaum, the “City of Jesus”, where the remains of the old synagogue and the House of St. Peter are on the agenda. Concluding the day with a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee where

Jesus miraculously walked on water. Drive to Bethlehem for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11Jerusalem Old City

After Breakfast, we will depart to Jerusalem to visit the Old City and visit the Western Wall, the holiest wall for the Jewish. We will walk the Way of the Cross with its 7 stations, the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows). We will walk the same pathway Jesus walked from Pilate’s Judgment Hall, where he was condemned to death in Calvary till we reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection where the holy light comes on the Easter. We head to the southwest, just outside the Old City, to Mount Zion to visit the tomb of King David. Down at the bottom of Kidron Valley we will visit the Canacle (the Upper Room) the Room of the Last Supper. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Concluding the day with a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus and Walk down the Palm Sunday, We also visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of the High Priest Calaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for a night and the Hagia Maria Zion Abbey (the Dormition Abbey) that commemorates the Dormition of Mary. the Tomb of Virgin Mary.

Day 12Bethlehem + Jerusalem New city

After Breakfast in the hotel. starting with the beautiful old city o Bethlehem and stroll through Manger Square as well as the birthplace of Jesus – the Church of Nativity known as one of the oldest churches worldwide which also houses the grotto, visiting also the church of John the baptist and the Church of Visitation.. After that proceed to Herodium (a volcano-like hill with truncated cone).

Visiting St Saba monastery and the Shepherd Field. then proceed to Ein Karem village; a picturesque village in the southwestern outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions as it is where John the Baptist was born. Drive back to the hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

Day 13Akko – Jaffa – Caesarea – Haifa

After breakfast, we proceed to Jaffa to visit Sameria where Jesus met Samaritan Woman and jacob’s Well and see a panoramic view of Tel Aviv. Continue towards Caesarea, with its magnificent excavations.

Visit of the Roman Theater, the city of the Crusaders, and then visit Haifa, one of the most beautiful cities in the region to visit Mt. Carmel the “burning place” where Elijah called the fire down to confound the prophets of Baal. Visit Stella Maris (Star of the Sea) Church. We also see the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, Continue to the Bahai Shrine and Persian Gardens.

Drive back to the hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14Jericho

Today we drive towards the Judean Wilderness, Wadi Kelt to see the 4th-century Greek Monastery Of St George, next we arrive at the Biblical city of Jericho. We will visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Karantal built on top of the Mount of Temptation <<TAKE THE CABLE CAR >>, We will continue to the Orthodox Monasteries built on the bank of the Jordan River east of Jericho commemorating the baptismal of Jesus by John the Baptist. We will also visit the Lazarus Tomb. Drive back to Bethlehem for dinner the hotel (dinner & overnight).

Day 15Cana

After breakfast, we will go to Cana – the site of Jesus’ first miracle changing water into wine, where couples will be able to renew their marriage vows. Also,we see Sycamore Tree in Jericho. Afternoon, we will drive along the Dead Sea, stop in Qumran, site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Here we will also have time to float on the Dead Sea water and descent – the lowest place on earth (423 meters below sea level). The area around the Dead Sea was one of the world’s first health resorts. The salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea are used to create cosmetics and sachets which
