Itinerary

Day 1Athens

Arrive at airport of Athens, Greece, named after goddess Athena, the birthplace of Western civilization where the Greek created the world’s first democratic government, the first Olympic Games, and made important contributions to architecture, art, literature, science, and mathematics. Their mysterious religion has enriched countless generations with its many wonderful myths and legends.

Transfer to the hotel, and over night Athens.

Day 2Acropolis Area-Temple of Zeus-Temple of Hephaestus- Parthenon- Erechtheion

Breakfast at the hotel then visit Acropolis Area to visit Temple of Olympian Zeus, the father of all gods, the god of sky, lightening, thunder, law, order,and justice built in 550 BC.

Visiting the Temple of Hephaestus, god of metalworking and fire, one of the best-preserved Greek temple in the world, built in the 5th century BC with marble from Mount Penteli 30km away from the building site.

Visiting the temple of Nike build in 420 BC for the god of victory. Visiting the Parthenon; the name means the “temple of the virgin goddess” built in 447 BC. Continuing to visit the Erechtheion, known as the 6 young girls built in 489 BC. It is the shrine centre for other more ancient cults and gods. Continue our visit to the Temple Athena Nike, god of victory built in 420 BC

Overnight in Palaka to enjoy the hubbub of life in the ancient city, the birth place of art, wisdom and beauty then transfer to the hotel

Day 3Agios Georgios--Agios Isidoros--Theater--Archaological Museum--Tower of the wind Plaio Fairo

Breakfast at the hotel, heading to Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in the center of Athens, using the cable car to enjoy the gorgeous scenery from the height of 277 m and spend some time in the cafes, restaurants up there and visit the ancient church of Agios Georgios (St. George) and the chapel of Agios Isidoros on the other side of the hill.

Visit the New Archaeological Museum built in 1829 and is considered one of the greatest museum in the world as it contains the richest collections of Greek antiquity artifacts worldwide from 7000 BC to 300 AD. Visit Tower of the Wind, the world’s first meteorological station “timepiece” a unique combination of sundials, wind vane, and water clock built in the 2nd century BC.

Overnight the Coastal district of Palaio Faliro.

Day 4Theatre of Epidaurus-Caves of Diros

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to the Theatre of Epidaurus built in the 4th century BC with the capacity of 13.000 to 14.000 spectators in 55 rows of seats. The site was built of marble and is considered a perfect acoustic system as you can hear even the whispers from any part. The theater was built to worship Asclepius, the god of medicine . A vast healing center is affiliated to the theater where the god made miracles and are written on the walls of the temple.

Visit the gift of nature to Greece; Caves of Diros means “the Fox’s Hole”as it looks like the place where fox lives and found in the 4thmillennium 6000 and 3200 BC for the Greek god of death“Hades”

Day 5Corinth Canal-- Church of Apostles Paul--Patapios of Thebes Cava Monastery

Visiting Corinth Canal, completed in 1893 and connects the Gulf of Corinth and the Gulf of Saronic. The canal is 6.4 km length and 21.4 m wide. We will enjoy the 4 bridges and the submersible bridge at the entrance that goes down to let the towed boats pass. Visit Apostle Paul Church built in 1943 in the port where Apostle Paul started out on his journey to Syria. The church assembles Aga Sofia in Turkey. Visit Moni Osious Patapiou a wonderful monastery on a hill overlooking the Gulf.

Day 6Egypt

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport to visit Egypt, the second great ancient civilization in the world. We will meet and assist you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight Cairo

Day 7Memphis and Saqqara. Pyramids of Giza.Sphinx

After breakfast, meet the Egyptologist in our Coach in a full day excursion to fascinate yourself and enjoy the oldest monument in the history, the 7000 year old tomb of the pharaohs, and the only exist of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world. The pyramid area where hordes of tourists from every corner of the world come to enjoy. Visiting the Sphinx carved out of rock with a lion body and a human face to guard the tomb of the pharaoh.

Visiting the Memphis and Saqqara area, the oldest step pyramid in the world and the area is so rich with monuments that archaeologists are still discovering new artifacts. The area has so many tombs with vivid, colorful, and significant paintings that tell the history of the great Pharaohs. Transfer to the hotel

Day 8Old Cairo, the Egyptian museum and the bazaars of Khan El-Khalili

After breakfast, the guide will pick you up by our splendid coach to the Egyptian Museum, where unique collections of monuments that can never be found anywhere as some of them are from pre-date era. You will enjoy seeing well-preserved mummies. The building itself is considered an antiquity as it is built in the 19 century.

Visiting the old Cairo, the Coptic part of the city to enjoy the Hanging Church of Santa Maria and Saint Sergio Coptic Church built in the cave where the Holy family hid. We also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue the oldest Jewish temple in Egypt built in the 9th century.

We then visit Khan El-Khalili the oldest and the biggest market in the Middle East with its unique bazaars and oriental lifestyle. The area has its religious importance as it has great number of old mosques.

Day 9The Citadel

Breakfast, then the guide will pick you up from the hotel to visit the Citadel, the headquarter and the palace of the kings and Sultans of Egypt for more than 700 years. from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo commands a strategic position overlooking the city and dominating its skyline. At the time of its construction, it was among the most impressive and ambitious military fortification projects of its time. It is now a preserved historic site, including mosques and museums.

Day 10Israel

Meet, assist, and transfer you to the hotel. The tour might start on the same day of arrival depends on the arrival time. Dinner at the hotel

Day 11Nazareth

After Breakfast in the hotel heading towards Nazareth up north, A visit to the church of annunciation, followed by a visit to Joseph’s workshop where Jesus spent most of his childhood. Then, a drive to the village of Cana, where Jesus performed the miracle of changing water into wine. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12Tiberias (Sea of Galilee)

After Breakfast, we drive to the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the ‘Sermon on the Mount’ and Tabgha, the traditional site of the ‘miracle of the loaves and the fish’. Capernaum, the “City of Jesus”, where the remains of the old synagogue and the House of St. Peter are on the agenda. Concluding the day with a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13Jerusalem Old City

After Breakfast, we will depart to Jerusalem to visit the Old City and visit the Western Wall. Guests will be able to walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. We then head to the southwest, just outside the Old City, is Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Concluding the day with a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus and a drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 14Bethlehem + Jerusalem New city

After Breakfast in the hotel. starting with the beautiful old city of Bethlehem and stroll through Manger Square as well as the birthplace of Jesus – the Church of Nativity known as one of the oldest churches worldwide which also houses the grotto, visiting also the international Nativity museum, olive oil museum and the Palestinian Heritage Center. After that proceed to Herodium (a volcano-like hill with truncated cone), then depart to Al Kader village where the famous Solomon pools located. then proceed to Ein Karem village; a picturesque village in the southwestern outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions since it is where, according to tradition, John the Baptist was born. Afterward, a visit to Yad Vashem the official memorial of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 15Akko – Jaffa – Caesarea – Haifa

After breakfast, we proceed to Jaffa to visit the Artists’ Quarters and St. Peter’s Monastery and see a panoramic view of Tel Aviv. Continue towards Caesarea, with its magnificent excavations. Visit of the Roman Theater, the city of the Crusaders, and then visit Haifa, one of the most beautiful cities in the region. Continue to the Bahai Shrine and Persian Gardens.
Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16Jericho

Today we drive towards the Judean Wilderness; Our first visit will be to the viewpoint at Wadi Kelt to see the 4th-century Greek Monastery Of St George, next we arrive the Biblical city of Jericho. We will visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Karantal built on top of the Mount of Temptation <<TAKE THE CABLE CAR >>, We will continue on to the Orthodox Monasteries built on the bank of the Jordan River east of Jericho commemorating the baptismal of Jesus by John the Baptist. Continue driving along the Dead Sea, stop in Qumran, site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Here we will also have time to float on the Dead Sea waters. Return to Bethlehem on the way stop at the village of Bethany visit the Lazarus Tomb. Arrive at the hotel ( dinner & overnight).

Day 17Jordan

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Jordan and check in the hotel. Explore the place , dinner overnight.

Day 18Petra

Breakfast and transfer to the ancient Pink City, the city of Edom from the time of Israel and Judah. Petra was the capital of the Nabatean people which flourished over 2000 years as an important trade route. It was forgotten for hundreds of years until it was rediscovered in 1812. Much of Petra’s appeal comes from its spectacular views which were honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The most famous monuments of Petra is the Treasury, but walking Petra will reveal itself with hundreds of facades of buildings, tombs, bathrooms, funeral parlors, temples and a theater of 3000 seats, from the first century of our era. After a brief visit to the port city of Aqaba, Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 19Dead Sea

Breakfast and Travel through the Judean desert reaching the Dead Sea region , the lowest place in the world (400 meters below sea level). Ascent by cable car to the Fortress of Masada , the last fortification of the Jews in their fight against the Romans. Visit to the excavations of Herod’s palace, former synagogue, aqueduct, etc. Panoramic view of the region and descent to enjoy a bath in the salty waters enriched with minerals from the Dead Sea. (if the weather allows it).
