Itinerary

Day 1Athens

Arrive at airport of Athens, Greece the birthplace of Western civilization where the Greek created the world’s first democratic government, the first Olympic Games and made important contributions to architecture, art, literature, science, and mathematics. Their mysterious religion has enriched countless generations with its many wonderful myths and legends.

Transfer to the hotel, and over night Athens.

Day 2Acropolis Area-Temple of Zeus - Temple of Hephaestus - Parthenon- Erechtheion - The Temple of Athena Nike Palaka

Breakfast at the hotel then visit Acropolis Area to visit Temple of Olympian Zeus the father of all gods. The god of sky, lightening, thunder, law, order,and justice built in 550 BC.

Visiting the Temple of Hephaestus, god of metalworking and fire, one of the best-preserved Greek temple in the world, built in the 5th century BC with marble from Mount Penteli 30km away from the building site.

Visiting the temple of Nike build in 420 BC for the god of victory. Visiting the Parthenon. The name means the “temple of the virgin goddess” built in 447 BC. Continuing to visit the Erechtheion, known as the 6 young girls built in 489 BC. It is the shrine centre for other more ancient cults and gods. Overnight in Palaka to enjoy the hubbub of life in the ancient city, the birth place of art, wisdom and beauty then transfer to the hotel

Day 3Agios Georgios - Agios Isidoros - Theater - Archaological Museum - Tower of the wind Plaio Fairo

Breakfast at the hotel, heading to Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in the center of Athens, using the cable car to enjoy the gorgeous scenery from the height of 277 m and spend some time in the cafes, restaurants up there and visit the ancient church of Agios Georgios (St. George) and the chapel of Agios Isidoros on the other side of the hill.

Visit the New Archaeological Museum built in 1829 and is considered one of the greatest museum in the world and contains the richest collections of artifacts from Greek antiquity worldwide from 7000 BC to 300 AD. Visit Tower of the Wind, the world’s first meteorological station “timepiece” a unique combination of sundials, wind vane, and water clock built in the 2nd century BC.

Overnight the Coastal district of Palaio Faliro.

Day 4Theater of Epidaurus - Caves of Diros

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to the Theatre of Epidaurus built in the 4th century BC with the capacity of 13.000 to 14.000 spectators in a 55 rows of seats. The site was built of marble and is considered a perfect acoustic system as you can hear even the whispers from any part. The theater was built to worship Asclepius, the god of medicine . A vast healing center is affiliated to the theater where the god made miracles and are written on the walls of the temple, .

Visit the gift of nature to Greece; Caves of Diros means “the Fox’s Hole”as it looks like the place where fox lives and built in the 4thmillennium 6000 and 3200 BC for the Greek god of death“Hades”

Overnight at Monastiraki square then transfer to the hotel

Day 5Corinth canal - Church of Apostles Paul - Patapios of Thebes Cava Monastery

Visiting Corinth Canal, completed in 1893 and connects the Gulf of Corinth and the Gulf of Saronic. The canal is 6.4 km length and 21.4 m wide. We will enjoy the 4 bridges and the submersible bridge at the entrance that goes down to let the towed boats pass. Visit Apostle Paul Church built in 1943 in the port where Apostle Paul started out on his journey to Syria. The church assembles Aga Sofia in Turkey. Visit Moni Osious Patapiou a wonderful monastery on a hill overlooking the Gulf.

Overnight Corinth transfer to the hotel

Day 6Panathenaic Stadium - Stoa Attalos-Bus tour

Breakfast at the hotel , heading to Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble in 30 BC for religious and athletic festivals in honour of goddess Athena with capacity of 50.000 seats. The stadium was the Olympic venue in 2004 and the Olympic flame handover ceremony. Visit Stoa Attalos built by Amerivcan and Greek archaeologists to similaulate the original relics in 1956. The Stoa witnessed the cermony of 10 countries signing to join he European Union in 2003.

Syntagma square to see the guard change in front of the Parliament building.

Take a bus tour in Athens to enjoy the ancient city at night for two hour to wrap up the visit

Day 7Departure

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport to return home carrying the unforgettable memories of the land of wisdom.
